About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Parts Cleaner to join our team at StandardAero. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our aircraft parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment, including vapour blasters, wheelabrators, deburrers, and blast cabinets, to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other material from metal parts and castings.
  • Perform in-process cleaning, air drying, and buffing to achieve high-quality finishes.
  • Immerse metal products in chemical cleaning and stripping solutions to remove contaminants.
  • Prepare and mask surfaces prior to cleaning to ensure accurate and efficient results.
  • Clean and maintain cleaning tanks and equipment, monitoring chemicals through titration checks to ensure safety and effectiveness.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
  • Cross-train in other complementary skills to support production requirements.
  • Adhere to all applicable safety requirements and regulations.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 75% of the average workday.
Desired Characteristics
  • Thorough knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
  • Thorough knowledge of titrating chemicals.
  • Working knowledge of material safety data sheets and the handling of hazardous materials/chemicals.
  • Working knowledge of related company instructions, company processes, MSDS labels, and original equipment manufacturer manuals for cleaning and related processes.
  • Working knowledge of production management computer systems.
