Position Overview:


In this role as a Certified Nursing Assistant / Telemetry Technician, you will provide both direct and indirect nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, adhering to established policies and procedures.

Your responsibilities will include the continuous monitoring of patients on telemetry, interpreting and documenting ECG rhythms, and promptly reporting significant changes to the appropriate healthcare personnel.

As a CNA on our team, you will ensure the accuracy of reports, reconcile errors, troubleshoot equipment issues, and communicate needs to leadership.


Qualifications:
To be considered for the Certified Nursing Assistant / Telemetry Technician position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Minimum of six months of prior CNA experience is preferred.
• Previous experience in telemetry is preferred.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Graduation from a Certified Nursing Assistant Program is preferred.
• Successful completion of the ECG exam annually upon hire.
• CNA State Registration in Colorado is required.
• Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification is preferred.
• Ability to perform medium work, including exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly.

Penrose-St. Francis Health Services is a comprehensive, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs, consisting of Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, and St. Francis Hospital - Interquest. St. Francis Hospital, which opened in 2008, was established to meet the growing healthcare needs of the Colorado Springs community.

This facility features 340 beds and offers a modern Birth Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Cancer Center, Emergency Department, Level III Trauma Center, Imaging Services, Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation, Surgical Services, and Critical Care Unit.

Additionally, it serves as the southern Colorado base for the Flight For Life Colorado air medical transport service.
