We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Hillcrest Medical Center. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the delivery of care in a safe and healing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Work in partnership with registered nurses to support the delivery of care and promote a safe patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Document patient data and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor patients' conditions and report any concerns to the registered nurse.
- Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties as needed.
- Participate in Purposeful Hourly Rounding and Bedside Shift Report to ensure continuity of care.
- Perform direct and indirect patient care duties as assigned and provide clerical support to the assigned unit.
- Maintain unit records and order routine supplies as needed.
- Minimum of two years of experience in acute or long-term care.
- Completion of approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school.
- Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
