Qualifications & Experience Requirements

To be considered for the role of LPN Wound/Treatment Nurse, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Current LPN license in the state of employment
  • Wound Certification is preferred
  • Current CPR certification; ACLS certification is a plus
  • Relevant experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience in treatment nursing is desirable
  • Supervisory experience in a long-term care environment is preferred
Key Responsibilities

As an LPN Wound/Treatment Nurse, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Administering treatments, dressing changes, and topical applications as per center policies and physician orders, ensuring resident privacy and infection control
  • Conducting routine monthly replacements of gastric tubes and Foley catheters as assigned
  • Performing tracheostomy care and suctioning
  • Documenting treatment recommendations at least once weekly in nursing notes and required reports
  • Advising attending physicians on treatment procedures or products
  • Managing the reordering of treatment supplies as necessary
