Perioperative Nurse

At Deborah Heart and Lung Center, we are seeking a skilled Perioperative Nurse to join our team. As a Perioperative Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in the perioperative setting.

The Perioperative Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing cardiovascular, pulmonary, and vascular procedures. This includes assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Provide direct patient care in the perioperative setting, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.
• Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
• Implement evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes, including medication management, wound care, and pain management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate degree, or baccalaureate degree nursing program.
• Current NJ State Nursing License and BLS certification.
• Preferred: BSN degree, Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation, IV Therapy Certification, Hemodynamics, and Mock Code within 90 days of hire or promotion.

• One year of experience in OR nursing.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.

Weekdays, 80 bi-weekly hours.
