Job Title: Pediatric Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Practitioner to join our team at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME. This is a part-time position that requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and improving outcomes for critically ill newborns and their families.

About the Role

As a key member of our NICU team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to neonates in the NICU, including assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized plans of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients and families.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with other healthcare providers, families, and community agencies to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, including medical records, medication administration, and vital signs.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in pediatric critical care nursing, preferably with experience in a NICU setting.
  • Active registered nurse licensure in the state of Maine.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Estimated Salary: $72,000 - $102,000 per year
