Overview:
The Conversion (Delta) Press Operator Apprentice role is designed for individuals to acquire the necessary skills and experience to effectively set up, dismantle, clean, operate, and produce high-quality products on Rotary presses within the Value Stream. The apprentice will closely follow work instructions and gain a comprehensive understanding of the operational and safety protocols associated with converting presses.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the ability to set up and operate basic jobs with minimal assistance using press diagrams, videos, and work instructions.
- Communicate any rate deficiencies to management as per established procedures.
- Conduct quality inspections according to Quality Department protocols and Engineering work instructions, documenting results accurately.
- Ensure precise entries in the computer time clock system and maintain accurate inspection documentation.
- Contribute positively to the company's safety, quality, and production objectives, reporting any unsafe working conditions to management.
- Understand and accurately interpret prints while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Accountabilities:
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding quality, safety, on-time delivery, production efficiency, attendance, and training goals.
- Ensure accuracy in all electronic and hard copy documentation as per Quality Department procedures.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with Rotary Press or machining, and/or technical training from an accredited trade school is a plus.
- Proficient in PC skills, including Microsoft Office products.
- Experience in medical manufacturing and lean manufacturing principles (5S, SMED, continuous improvement) is advantageous.

Skills and Attributes:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Positive attitude and a collaborative team player.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic press issues and escalate problems when necessary.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
