Job Summary:

As a skilled Maintenance Mechanic II at Anika Therapeutics, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility. Your primary responsibilities will include performing and documenting preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of process equipment, packaging equipment, and utility systems. This will involve working with HVAC-R, steam boilers, cold rooms, compressed air and gas systems, Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Water for Injection (WFI) systems, wastewater treatment, clean steam generation, process/chilled water systems, and manufacturing and packaging equipment support.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform and document all corrective and preventative maintenance activities on GMP facility equipment and/or utility systems in accordance with GDP requirements.
Respond to emergency service calls and resolve identified issues in a timely manner, adhering to all safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
Assist in the installation/qualification of new equipment/facility upgrades and supervise outside contractors working on site.
Perform weekend walkthrough duties according to schedule and participate in an On-Call rotation for off-hour facility emergencies.
Ensure that all required quality and safety training is completed on time and current, and provide general maintenance and support to all departments as directed.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent, with trade school training preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a maintenance environment, preferably in a cGMP facility.
General working knowledge of production/packaging equipment and HVAC systems.
Ability to work autonomously, effectively manage time to achieve goals and objectives, and follow directions specifically.
Professional interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and basic Windows operating system skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) and CMMS system for tracking maintenance work orders.
2I Industrial Wastewater Treatment license or the ability to obtain one within one year of employment.
Ability to obtain a Commonwealth of MA Special Operators License for Steam Boilers within one year of employment.
Broad trade knowledge including plumbing and general mechanical skills.
