Lactation Consultant Job Description

Catholic Medical Center is seeking a skilled Lactation Consultant to join our team. As a Lactation Consultant, you will play a vital role in providing lactation management services to new parents, ensuring they receive the best possible care and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and analyze data to inform lactation management decisions
  • Design and implement effective lactation workflows and procedures
  • Develop creative solutions to address lactation-related challenges
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to new parents
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless lactation care
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
  • Previous experience in maternal-child health nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification
  • Completion of Breastfeeding Continuing Education Program (BCEP) required during employment
