The IT Solutions Developer position within the Refining IT Process Engineering & Operations team focuses on enhancing digital transformation and operational efficiencies throughout the Refining Business Solutions sector. The selected candidate must exhibit a customer-centric approach, an agile mindset, and the technical expertise necessary to address and resolve software-related business challenges. Given the technical demands of the team and the diverse skill set required, we seek self-motivated individuals who can quickly adapt and tackle specific technical assignments with minimal oversight. The ideal applicant will possess a strong desire for continuous learning, the capability to simplify complex technologies, and a commitment to intellectual integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop applications for the Refining Business Solutions sector.
  • Support ongoing advancements within the team, including cloud architecture, security, knowledge sharing, monitoring, and automation.
  • Collaborate with project teams, business analysts, enterprise architects, database administrators, and fellow developers to assess business challenges.
  • Promote best practices in development and team processes.
  • Ensure solutions are designed and developed to comply with audit standards.
  • Utilize agile development methodologies and processes.
Required Qualifications:
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in IT.
  • Strong foundation in computer science principles, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C#, .NET, Java, or Python.
  • Experience with at least one modern database technology such as SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of software engineering best practices throughout the software development life cycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
