This role is for a Senior Service Center Technician working under general oversight. The technician will utilize their expertise and judgment to plan and execute tasks effectively.
Work Schedule:
This position operates on a 4th Shift (Nights): Sunday through Thursday, from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform servicing, repairs, and modifications on avionics systems.
- Conduct a variety of tasks related to the operation, maintenance, and repair of avionics equipment.
- Execute technical assessments of products and modifications in alignment with customer specifications and approved documentation.
- Engage in soldering of fine pitch and SMD components.
- Evaluate product requirements based on customer needs.
- Apply a solid understanding of electronic principles to facilitate timely repairs.
- Demonstrate troubleshooting skills down to the component level.
- Exhibit strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- This role does not involve sales responsibilities.
- Physical demands may include lifting over 25 pounds and standing for extended periods.
This position is classified as safety-sensitive in accordance with FAA guidelines, and candidates will undergo drug and alcohol testing as per FAA regulations.
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
- AA/AS degree (or equivalent 2-year post-secondary training) with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, or 4 years of relevant experience in the absence of a high school diploma or degree.
- Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee/asylee status).
- Experience or education in the electronics maintenance sector is mandatory.
- Prior experience in troubleshooting electronic equipment is essential.
- Completion of an Electronics Trade School or equivalent military training.
- Experience troubleshooting at the component level.
- Prior soldering experience in a related field.
- Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
- Knowledge of FAA Part 145 regulations is a plus.
- Understanding of RF electronics is beneficial.
