Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Newgen Software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with a focus on Java, J2EE, and other related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and deliver high-quality software projects using Java, SQL/Oracle, J2EE, and other related technologies.
  • Participate in detailed design, coding, code reviews, unit testing, system testing, UAT, demos, POCs, installation, maintenance of software modules.
  • Ensure the preparation of software prototypes, system architecture, software design documents, user interfaces, code files, code review artifacts, test plans, test cases, installation/deployment documents, release documents, and technical documentation.
  • Develop and document solutions by creating flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
  • Conduct system analysis, troubleshoot issues, and improve operations by identifying areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment.
  • Protect company operations by maintaining confidentiality.
  • Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and investigating problem areas.

Desired Profile:

  • Application of technical knowledge, system analysis, and evaluation.
  • Testing: application of technical knowledge, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.
  • Computer Science graduate with 4-8 years of experience in software development.
  • Knowledge of current technological trends in software development, such as OOPs, multi-tier software development, component architecture, and web-based software.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data and draw logical conclusions.
  • Proficiency in Java, JSP, Servlets, EJB, SQL/Oracle, J2EE, and other related technologies.
  • Clear thinking, flexibility, adaptability to work schedules, effective verbal and written communication, time management, self-confidence, and analytical thinking.
