Key Responsibilities of the Land Surveying Specialist

  • Oversee survey field teams and office staff based in our client's location, either on-site or remotely, depending on preferred work arrangements.
  • Conduct mapping and computations for boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking.
  • Execute land surveying tasks for both public and private sector clients with precision and within budgetary constraints.
  • Develop cost estimates and draft proposals for various projects.
  • Collaborate closely with forestry and planning departments to ensure project success.
  • Utilize the expertise of other surveying professionals in remote offices to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications for the Land Surveying Specialist

  • Must be a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Oregon.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of land surveying and map preparation.
  • Skilled in using survey instruments such as Trimble GNSS, total stations, and levels.
  • Experienced with industry software including TDS, AutoCAD, and/or Carlson Survey.
  • Strong abilities in proposal writing, project estimation, and negotiation.
  • A minimum of five years of practical field experience in leading survey crews.

Compensation: Starting salary at $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
