Role Purpose:

The Maintenance Manager is tasked with the strategic planning and oversight of maintenance initiatives, analyzing systems and equipment, and leading maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and uphold a maintenance schedule.
  • Create detailed work plans.
  • Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment resources.
  • Manage inventory of parts and equipment.
  • Ensure the timely execution of work assignments.
  • Document tasks and monitor efficiency.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance activities.
  • Implement cost-effective maintenance solutions.
  • Guarantee compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Identify and arrange training requirements.
  • Monitor asset availability and downtime.
  • Conduct analyses of equipment failures.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Oversee contracted job functions.
  • Foster relationships with suppliers.
  • Engage in management meetings.
  • Provide reports to the General Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Work Environment:

  • Industrial setting focused on equipment maintenance.
  • Potential exposure to noise, dirt, and temperature fluctuations.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Graduation from a technical or trade school is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years in maintenance management is required.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience is necessary.
  • Familiarity with control systems is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is advantageous.
  • Prior supervisory experience is mandatory.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities.
