Job Summary and Qualifications
As an MRI Technologist PRN, you will assist physicians in performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures. We are looking for a dedicated individual who values patient care as much as we do.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and complete necessary paperwork for each patient, including exams, scheduling, and medical records.
- Transport patients to and from their rooms and the emergency room.
- Monitor equipment for mechanical safety.
- Explain procedures to patients to alleviate anxiety and ensure cooperation.
- Position patients on the examination table and adjust immobilization devices for optimal imaging.
- Collaborate effectively with the Diagnostic Imaging Department team.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Technologist program is required.
- MRI registry (ARRT) must be obtained within six months for eligible candidates; two years of experience in a hospital imaging department is preferred.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
