Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Performance Contracting Group, Inc. This individual will provide project management support to commercial projects and will be responsible for various scopes, including specialty walls and ceilings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
  • Prepare RFI's and submittals
  • Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders
  • Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen
  • Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation
  • Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in commercial drywall and other interior systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Construction Science or related discipline, or comparable work experience
  • OSHA Certification
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
  • Customer service skills, such as able to work with customers and build strong relationships
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
  • Works well under pressure and deadline

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with drywall preferred
  • Local to Memphis Metro Area
