Job Summary:

The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the production and delivery of high-quality lifting equipment manufactured in the Victorville, CA facility, as well as supporting operations in the Anaheim office. This role involves leading a team of staff members and ensuring the achievement of sales, operational, and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, hire, and train fabrication personnel, including team members and support staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations to increase individual and team performance, build bench strength, and retain top talent.
  • Communicate effectively in individual and group settings, providing regular coaching and feedback to build a high-performance team.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Additional Duties:
  • Lead the cross-functional team from Purchase Order to Delivery of all custom engineered fabricated crane systems and OEM distributed products.
  • Partner with local sales and service leaders to ensure an excellent customer experience through the entire delivery and field installation process, as well as after-sale inspection and service.
  • Work with the Regional Sales and Service Managers to develop the annual branch budget and lead fabrication execution to achieve sales and profitability targets.
  • Lead engineering, project management, and fabrication team in project tracking to ensure financial goals are met and customer satisfaction achieved.
  • Lead by example to ensure a healthy and safe working culture is achieved, as well as compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Deliver reports to executive team members as requested.
  • Supervise equipment purchase and maintenance.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure that goals and objectives are clearly communicated with staff; provide guidance and leadership to enable staff to meet these goals and objectives.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities; develop and implement a plan for meeting those needs.
  • Maintain and develop positive relationships with existing and prospective clients, demonstrating excellent customer service and setting an example for other staff.
Requirements:
  • Adept at analyzing and explaining a manufacturing P&L.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent informal sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Experience:
  • 5 years P&L leadership in industrial manufacturing/fabrication and field service.
  • Experience with multiple, simultaneous custom engineered projects and project management.
  • Responsibility over engineering and project management disciplines.
  • Multi-site responsibility.
  • Crane experience is beneficial, but not required.
