Job Summary

MindCare Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services to patients in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans for patients.
  • Develop Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and therapy options, to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, mental health professionals, and HUB coordinators, to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Prescribe and Administer Medications: Prescribe and administer psychiatric medications as necessary, while monitoring and adjusting medication regimens to optimize effectiveness and minimize side effects.
  • Provide Education and Support: Offer education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance mental health care services within the facility.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing: Master's or doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited program specializing in psychiatric mental health.
  • Current and Unrestricted PMHNP License: Current and unrestricted PMHNP license in the state of practice.
  • Board Certification: Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
  • Minimum of 2 Years Clinical Experience: Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a PMHNP, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
  • Strong Knowledge of Psychiatric Assessment and Treatment: Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
