Job Summary


Aveanna Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves working closely with students, teachers, and other support staff to provide educational support and promote student growth and development.



Responsibilities:

  • Support students in achieving their academic, social, and emotional goals
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to implement school-wide and class-wide positive behavior initiatives
  • Assist teachers with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and providing one-on-one support to students
  • Collect data on students' progress and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure seamless transitions and support


Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required; related experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students with diverse needs
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly


Working Conditions:

  • May be required to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull carts with heavy equipment
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods and move quickly to respond to students' needs
  • May be exposed to allergens, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases


Estimated Salary Range:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
