About the Role

Denver Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Elementary Spanish Curriculum Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our instructional leadership team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing high-quality instructional materials and resources to support student achievement in Spanish literacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Spanish literacy intervention program aligned to the Colorado Academic Standards.
  • Collaborate with teachers, coaches, and other stakeholders to design and deliver professional learning opportunities that enhance teaching and learning in Spanish literacy.
  • Analyze student achievement data to inform curriculum development and instructional strategies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, publishers, and other external partners to source high-quality instructional materials and resources.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in Spanish literacy instruction and make recommendations for instructional strategies and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in teaching and instructional leadership, with a focus on Spanish literacy instruction.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing high-quality instructional materials and resources.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform instructional decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with teachers, coaches, and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Spanish language and culture, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
