This part-time Registered Nurse position is available at our Groton, CT location. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide nursing care to client employees and/or contractors and visitors to the health center.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow.
- Conduct nursing assessments, provide treatment within scope of practice, and collaborate with physicians as needed.
- Identify equipment needs and report to the lead clinician.
- Perform occupational and health screening tests, conduct laboratory tests, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Administer medications and medical treatments competently, maintain a clean and safe environment, and follow infection control procedures.
- Participate in follow-up phone calls and patient visits, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associates' degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Currently licensed Registered Nurse in the state of practice required.
- Current hands-on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required.
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred.
At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or other ambulatory care clinic.
