Job Summary:

The Nurses Aide will work under the direction of the Nurse Manager to provide a variety of basic patient care activities and related procedures. This includes assisting with the maintenance of a safe and clean environment, taking and recording vital signs, and providing assistance with daily living activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic patient care activities, including taking and recording vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities.
  • Assist with the maintenance of a safe and clean environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces.
  • Perform laboratory procedures, including venipuncture, EKG, and urine collection.
  • Assist with the nutritional needs of patients, including feeding, mealtime assistance, and supplying fluids.
  • Provide assistance with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
  • Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and demonstrated writing skills.
  • Proven track record of compassionate care and superior service.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one year of experience as a phlebotomist or EKG Technician with a healthcare background.
  • Current enrollment in a healthcare training program as a C.N.A. or PCT.
  • College degree preferred.
