The Lead Security Specialist ensures a secure and protected environment for patients, visitors, staff, and assets within the Providence Health & Services network.
The Security Specialist conducts routine patrols of the facility, responds to and investigates security incidents, identifies safety risks, and accurately documents actions and observations throughout the shift.
Essential Qualifications:
Within 90 days of employment:
Successful completion of TASER/AXON Training and Certification
Within 90 days of employment:
Successful completion of AVADE/HDTS (Healthcare Defensive Tactics System) Training and Certification
Minimum of 3 years of relevant civilian or military security/law enforcement experience, including at least two years in healthcare security.
Experience in customer service and training in Hospital Incident Command System.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent preferred.
Upon request:
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) ICS 100.HCB; ICS 200.HCA; and 700.A certification
Upon hire:
Provider Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
