Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Teacher to lead our After School Program at a reputable charter school in Inver Grove Heights, MN. As the Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the program, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies, and providing a safe and engaging environment for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Management: Oversee the daily operations of the After School Program, including staff supervision, attendance tracking, and program activities.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school regulations.
  • Curriculum Development and Implementation: Develop and implement engaging hands-on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum, covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Maintain open lines of communication with parents and family members through regular updates and progress reports. Collaborate with the direct report to ensure effective teamwork and problem-solving.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Possess an Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field, and two years of direct experience working with children less than 13 years of age, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field of work.
  • Qualifications: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff. Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
