Senior Bookkeeper

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper to join our team at Jobot. As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing all financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. You will also perform account reconciliations and handle accounts payable and receivable, manage the general ledger, and prepare financial statements and reports for senior management, stakeholders, and external auditors.

Responsibilities

* Maintain and manage all financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
* Perform account reconciliations and handle accounts payable and receivable
* Manage the general ledger and ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks
* Prepare financial statements and reports for senior management, stakeholders, and external auditors
* Assist in tax preparation and filing activities
* Process payroll for our clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
* Collaborate with the accounting team to improve financial processes and systems
* Provide excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries, and resolving any financial discrepancies

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping or senior accounting role
* Proven experience with account reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, financial accounting, tax preparation, and payroll processing
* Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and public accounting procedures
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong organizational and time-management skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Superior written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
