Quantitative Modeling Specialist

As a Quantitative Modeling Specialist at VDart, you will play a key role in building data science driven solutions to solve business problems. This is a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.
Salary: $130,000 - $180,000 per year
About the Role:
This Quantitative Modeling Specialist role involves working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data files to build descriptive and predictive models. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and scripting languages (e.g., Python).
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, and enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. They should possess strong problem-solving, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop data-driven solutions to solve business problems
- Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data files
- Build descriptive and predictive models using statistical and machine learning methods
Nice to Have:
- Working experience in cloud technologies and tools (e.g., Snowflake)
- Good knowledge of BI tools with a deep understanding of its functionalities and visualization best practices (e.g., Tableau)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, or a relevant technical field
- 6+ years of demonstrated work experience in building data science driven solutions
