Job Description

Bideawee is a leading animal welfare organization dedicated to providing a safe haven for homeless animals. As a Shelter and Surgery Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical care to our in-patient and adoption center animals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical care to animals under the guidance of a senior veterinarian.
  • Perform laboratory procedures, including blood and specimen handling, and radiographic techniques.
  • Administer medications and monitor patients for medical emergencies.
  • Assist in surgery and maintain aseptic technique in the operating room.
  • Maintain accurate records and inventory management.
  • Communicate with clients and educate them on animal care and welfare.

Requirements:

  • NYS license required.
  • 5+ years of experience in shelter medicine and spay-neuter surgery.
  • Ability to work well in a team and maintain a clean and safe environment.
