Job Summary:

We are seeking a PRN Radiology Technologist Student to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist Student, you will assist technologists with obtaining radiographs and perform various imaging procedures under the supervision of a licensed technologist.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist technologists with obtaining radiographs using stationary and fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Assist technologists with obtaining radiographs using portable units on nursing units and in the radiology department.
  • Monitor patient condition and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies.
  • Assist technologists with positioning patients and the performance of imaging procedures.
  • Verify patient identification before the performance of any procedure.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Senior in a Program in Radiologic Technology required.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) certification.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
