Conductor Trainee

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Conductor Trainee to join our team at BNSF Railway. As a Conductor Trainee, you will be responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient movement of trains, while also learning the skills and knowledge necessary to become a qualified Conductor.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the safe and efficient movement of trains, including coupling and uncoupling cars, and performing routine inspections
• Learn and apply knowledge of railway operations, including rules and regulations, safety procedures, and communication protocols
• Develop skills in train handling, including braking, acceleration, and deceleration
• Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth train operations

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds
• Ability to see, learn, and interpret hand signals from near and far
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work at various heights above the ground
