Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School-Based Occupational Therapist to work collaboratively with educators and parents to support students in overcoming barriers to learning.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized intervention plans to address students' unique needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Implement school-based occupational therapy services, including hands-on activities and adaptive strategies to promote students' independence and confidence.
- Provide training and support for school staff to enhance their understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of student progress, including progress reports and treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and state licensure.
- Understanding of school-based therapy practices and the ability to adapt to diverse learning environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, educators, and parents.
Experience
- New graduates with a passion for school-based therapy are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience in an educational setting is a plus, but not required.
