Urban Outreach Coordinator

Growing Places is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Tree Canvasser. As a key member of our outreach team, you will play a vital role in promoting our Greening the Gateway Cities Program (GGCP) in Fitchburg and Leominster.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct door-to-door outreach in targeted areas to promote the GGCP and encourage community members to participate in tree planting initiatives.
- Deliver marketing materials to residents and provide information about the benefits of urban tree canopy.
- Work closely with the Growing Places team to strategize outreach efforts and identify areas of high impact.
- Provide excellent customer service and engage with community members to build relationships and promote the program.
- Assist with event planning and execution, including outreach events and tree planting activities.
- Familiarity with the Fitchburg and Leominster area.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse community members.
- Passion for environmental justice and sustainability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
This is a stipended position estimated at 20 to 30 hours/month at $25 per hour. Hours are flexible on weekends and evenings.
