Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Agile Specialist to join our team at ASCENDING. As a key member of our Data Org, you will play a vital role in driving the delivery of high-quality data engineering projects.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Role

The Technical Agile Specialist will be responsible for ensuring clear communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, driving Agile-based team processes focused on predictable quality delivery, and facilitating team productivity by removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and other Technical Agile Specialists to support data development delivery.
  • Support the Data Org in the work-intake triage process to ensure new requests are addressed in accordance with SLAs.
  • Set up and maintain Programs, Epics, and Stories in Jira to manage the team's work through to completion.
  • Help set project delivery commitments and determine impacts as a result of fluctuating priorities and resource availability.
  • Coordinate dependencies between teams with other Scrum Masters.
  • Track and report team velocity and manage Sprint capacity to ensure efficient progress towards Sprint goals.
  • Resolve or escalate blocking impediments as necessary.
  • Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, backlog grooming, refinement sessions, sprint demos, retrospectives, and other process meetings.
  • Coordinate teams in troubleshooting and resolving production support issues that require cross-team coordination, especially those impacting customers.
  • Work with Development managers to manage team capacity.
  • Coach the development team and stakeholders on following Data Org processes and practices, and recommend improvements to best practices.
