We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at IASIS Healthcare. As a Housekeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our hospital facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain assigned areas of the hospital in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition.
- Sweep and mop floor areas, vacuum/spot clean carpets using appropriate solution.
- Arrange furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion after cleaning assigned areas.
- Climb ladders to hang cubicle/window drapes, or reach high areas for other cleaning purposes.
- Select and prepare cleaning materials and supplies according to procedure.
- Operate various types of equipment, both mechanical and electrical (i.e., buffers, scrubbers).
- Report malfunctions immediately.
- Collect medical waste as established by Infection Control Committee.
- Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, applying floor finishes/polishing; strip floors of finish as required.
- Arrange and move furniture as requested.
- Thoroughly clean assigned areas by washing furnishings, floors, and equipment with special cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent the spread of disease.
- Wash walls, ceilings, and inside windows using appropriate solutions; wash outside windows and screens as required.
- Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner at all times.
- High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent related work experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and supplies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
