NYU Langone Health is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Specialist to join our team at NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn. As a Clinical Specialist of Rehab, you will provide high-quality speech-language pathology services to patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate inpatients and outpatients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department.
- Provide in-service training as needed to ensure seamless communication among team members.
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Treat patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders using evidence-based practices.
- Perform and interpret fittings and refitting of tracheoesophageal prostheses as needed.
- Conduct modified barium swallow examinations to assess swallowing function.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- New York State License to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
