Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Driver to join our team at Waste Pro. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a refuse collection vehicle on pre-assigned routes, collecting and dumping garbage and refuse, and providing exceptional customer service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely drive a refuse collection vehicle on pre-established routes, adhering to defensive driving principles and company policies.
  • Collect and dump garbage and refuse into refuse trucks, ensuring proper disposal and minimizing waste.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections, maintaining a clean and well-maintained vehicle.
  • Operate a variety of manual duties, including moving and emptying large trash bins, and performing clean-up tasks.
  • Prepare and submit required reports and documents, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Class A or B CDL valid for the state in which the position works.
  • At least 21 years of age or older.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent changes in weather and temperature.
  • Physical ability to push or pull independently 50 pounds between 800 and 1000 times a day.
  • Ability to lift independently 50 pounds from the ground to waist height between 800 and 1000 times a day.
  • Ability to work 8 to 12 hours in extreme weather conditions.
Working Environment

Our drivers work in a variety of environments, including residential areas, commercial zones, and industrial sites. You will be exposed to wide temperature and weather variations, including heat, cold, snow, rain, and wind. You will also be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent changes in weather and temperature.
