Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Varsity Boys Basketball Coach to join our team at Choice Schools. As a Varsity Boys Basketball Coach, you will be responsible for leading and guiding our student athletes to achieve academic and athletic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive coaching plan to improve team performance and achieve academic excellence.
- Recruit, motivate, and develop student athletes to reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with the Athletics Director to schedule practices and competitions.
- Monitor and maintain academic performance of team members to ensure eligibility requirements are met.
- Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior and provide proper supervision of athletes at all times.
- Follow established procedures in the event of an athlete's injury.
- Confer with parents/guardians regarding the athletic performance of their student.
- Follow MHSAA and school regulations governing the athletic program.
- Model sports-like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and equipment.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Some experience as a coach or assistant coach at the middle or high school level.
- Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of the MHSAA rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport.
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.
