Job Summary:

The Certified Medical Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team, working closely with primary care physicians to deliver exceptional patient care to our community. This role is responsible for reviewing and updating patient records, measuring vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms for upcoming examinations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides outstanding customer service skills by greeting patients and the community in a respectful manner
  • Prepares and reviews patient charts for upcoming visits by verifying that all diagnostic test results, hospital reports, and other medical records are accurate and up-to-date
  • Measures vital signs such as pulse rate, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and height
  • Performs departmental-related clerical duties such as checking inventory, stocking supplies, tracking referrals, and answering phones as needed
  • Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High School Degree or GED
  • Active Medical Assisting Certification (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, required within 90 days of hire)
  • One year of medical assistant healthcare experience (preferred, not required)
  • Two years of clerical experience in a physician's office (preferred, not required)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possesses problem-solving skills, basic computer skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner
