Job Summary:

As a Pediatric Psychologist at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic psychological counseling to children and their families. Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose mental health conditions in children and adolescents, providing evidence-based interventions and treatments.
  • Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address the physical and emotional needs of our patients.
  • Provide psychological expertise and education to multidisciplinary teams, serving as a resource and consultant as needed.
  • Communicate complex and sensitive information to patients and families, ensuring clear understanding and empathy.
  • Administer and interpret psychological tests to diagnose mental and personality disorders, differentiating between organic and functional cases of behavior disorders.
  • Carry out ongoing record-keeping and case review of all psychotherapy work, adhering to institutional and state guidelines.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for children and families, incorporating short- and long-term psychotherapy as needed.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safety, prioritizing the well-being of patients and staff.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology or a related field from an accredited program.
  • License eligibility or PsyPact eligibility in the state of Missouri.
