TELACU Residential Management, Inc. (TRM) is a leading provider of affordable housing solutions in California. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Resident Manager to join our team.

Job Summary

The Resident Manager will be responsible for the overall management of a residential community, ensuring that it operates in accordance with our high standards of quality and service. This includes supervising the onsite team, managing rent collections, maintaining tenant relations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with the onsite and supervisory team.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Operations Manager to ensure the community operates within approved budget.
  • Enforce rental policies as specified in the approved management plan.
  • Work with the onsite team to minimize vacancy rates and ensure timely re-renting of vacant units.
  • Process applications and leases in accordance with the Tenant Selection Plan.
  • Verify applicant information and ensure compliance with HUD regulations.
  • Conduct regular unit inspections and work with the onsite team to address any deficiencies.
  • Prepare and distribute recertification notices and ensure successful completion of annual recertifications.
  • Develop and maintain good tenant relations, adhering to all applicable Fair Housing laws.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local government agencies and other local organizations.
  • Submit regular reports on occupancy and accounting, as well as other reports as required.
  • Maintain accurate tenant files and office records, in compliance with established management procedures and HUD regulations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of experience managing assisted housing for elderly and/or physically challenged developments under the HUD Section 202/8, 202 or 811 Program preferred.
