Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Residency Program Assistant to support the smooth operation of our residency programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating resident and faculty schedules, as well as providing key support during the recruitment season and handling credentialing processes for faculty onboarding.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Schedule Management: Develop and maintain monthly schedules for residents and faculty, ensuring timely communication of scheduling changes to relevant parties.
  2. Recruitment Support: Assist residency coordinators during recruitment season, including interview schedules, materials, and logistics.
  3. Credentialing: Coordinate credentialing applications for faculty onboarding with various entities, tracking and following up on onboarding requirements.
  4. Record Keeping: Organize and maintain records related to the residency program, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  5. Event Planning: Assist in planning and coordinating residency program events, meetings, and conferences.
Requirements
  1. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  2. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with residency coordinators and program leadership.
  4. Experience: Experience in a healthcare or academic setting preferred, with knowledge of credentialing processes a plus.
Work Environment

The position operates onsite at Mission Community Hospital in a professional office setting within a healthcare or academic institution. The role requires regular interaction with residents, faculty, coordinators, and administrative staff.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 10 pounds.

Travel

This position may require occasional local travel between affiliated entities or to external recruitment events and conferences.
