Position Summary

  • Efficiently execute fundamental vehicle services and repairs, adhering to Tire Warehouse's operational standards.
  • Tire Services – conduct wheel removal, balancing, patching, changing, mounting, installation, and TPMS service and repair.
  • Vehicle Maintenance – perform oil changes, lubrications, and basic upkeep tasks (e.g., bulb, wiper blade, and filter replacements), along with battery testing and installations.
  • Conduct Tire Warehouse's Courtesy Inspection on every vehicle, identifying, documenting, and communicating any additional required services and repairs.
  • Assist in managing inventory, including pulling tires and parts, as well as unloading and stocking supplies.
  • Support general store operations, ensuring the facility is maintained to Tire Warehouse's cleanliness and readiness standards.
  • Perform services in compliance with Tire Warehouse's safety protocols, including but not limited to proper wheel torque and oil safety procedures.
  • Test drive vehicles according to Tire Warehouse's Road Test policy, following designated routes while observing local traffic laws.
  • Understand and comply with company policies, governmental regulations, and safety standards, including ANSI/OSHA guidelines.
  • Maintain and enhance technical skills through timely completion of all required training modules.
  • Safely operate and maintain all equipment in accordance with Tire Warehouse and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Automotive training or equivalent experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Required to own a basic set of tools or participate in the tool purchase program.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

This role operates within an automotive service environment, which may involve exposure to moderate noise levels, various weather conditions, and materials such as chemicals and dust. General Service Technicians must be able to:

  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Lift, carry, and stock items weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, squatting, and twisting.
