About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Booz Allen. As a data scientist, you will play a critical role in unlocking the secrets held by complex data sets and driving business decisions with data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and leverage relational databases to support scientific or economic analysis
  • Develop scalable ETL or ELT workflows for reporting and analytics
  • Work with cross-functional teams to cleanse data, develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats, and support project teams to scale, monitor, and operate data platforms
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and analytics
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience with programming languages, including R, Python, or C
  • Experience working with structured, unstructured, or semi-structured data in support of scientific or economic analysis
  • Experience designing, developing, or leveraging relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MS SQL
  • Experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting DoD organizations
  • Experience using and deploying machine learning algorithms, including natural language processing (NLP)
  • Experience with web development frameworks, including Shiny, Django, or Flask
  • Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, or data lake houses
  • Experience with cloud services, including AWS or Azure

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD).
