About the Role:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide exercise instruction, patient education, and other interventions aimed at improving the patient's well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exercise instruction and patient education to patients in their homes
  • Assist patients with active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, and other interventions
  • Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and changes in patient condition to the supervising Physical Therapist and other healthcare team members
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare team members as needed
  • Instruct patients, family members, caregivers, and other healthcare team members on therapy within the scope of the Physical Therapy Assistant
Requirements:
  • Current licensure, registration, or certification to assist in the practice of physical therapy in the state of practice
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
