Cabinet Fabricator

Job Summary

Cabinet Fabricators at Flexjet work with a variety of materials to create high-quality aircraft cabins. This role requires attention to detail, ability to read blueprints, and teamwork skills. Experience in aircraft finishing is preferred but not necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture and fabricate cabinets from raw materials, including wood, honeycomb, fiberglass, sheet metal, and veneers.
• Construct interior components to customer specifications.
• Fabricate, fit, trim, and install interior components, galleys, bulkheads, doors, side ledges, tray tables, and conference tables.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Inspect and inventory incoming cabinetry for existing damage.
• Protect and tag all items using proper interior nomenclature for part identification.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals to complete all work.
• Complete all associated paperwork thoroughly and accurately for all work accomplished.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
• Seek methods to cross-train to develop technical skills and business knowledge.
• Assist aircraft technicians when necessary.
• Ensure functional tests of all installed items are satisfactory.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Assist engineering staff and draftsmen to generate drawings and renderings.
• Work with DERs to provide structural data when necessary.
