Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and specific assignments, including pulling work orders and completing requests.
- Operate, maintain, and repair boilers, pumps, compressors, air handlers, and other equipment.
- Repair and overhaul dietary equipment, beds, carts, and other wheeled equipment.
- Install and test new equipment, and assemble, move, and install furniture and equipment.
- Perform electrical safety checks of facility equipment and appliances.
- Assure that all electrical tests are fully documented and that records are updated.
- Respond to security needs of staff and facility, including Dr. Hanover and suspicious persons.
- Maintain all required records, reports, and care for and maintain department supplies and equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance duties, including generator, emergency lighting, and smoke damper testing.
- Perform snow removal and grounds work as assigned.
- Graduate of a trade school or degree in technical school or high school diploma with minimum experience requirements.
- 2 years previous experience in building maintenance, preferably in the healthcare field.
- Valid New York State driver's license that meets the facility's insurance carrier's criteria.
This is a full-time position with a scheduled work hour of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The salary range is $19.47-$23.29 per hour, based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and collective bargaining agreement.
