Position Summary:
KBTX is seeking an IT Engineer to join our vibrant team. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to expand their technical skills. The IT Engineer will be responsible for comprehensive end-user support, including the setup and maintenance of Windows-based systems, server management, and network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide desktop support for both local and remote personnel.
- Build and maintain Windows desktops and laptops.
- Configure and support various broadcast and workflow-specific applications.
- Manage Windows servers, including file shares and backup solutions.
- Oversee virtual infrastructure management, including VMWare hypervisors.
- Administer local Active Directory user accounts and access permissions.
- Set up workstations, including docking stations and printers.
- Install and support Microsoft Office and other client applications.
- Collaborate with Corporate IT to ensure effective use of company applications.
- Maintain and manage the station's IP data network.
- Assist in the administration and troubleshooting of core network equipment.
- Support broadcast automation systems in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Manage the station's phone system and voicemail services.
- Process helpdesk tickets and resolve technical issues.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a technical support role within a broadcast or post-production environment is preferred.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Excellent prioritization skills and adaptability to changing work demands.
- Strong communication skills across various disciplines.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills with the ability to convey technical processes.
- In-depth knowledge of computer networking, hardware, and software maintenance.
- Familiarity with production workflows in television and various automation platforms.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Ability to travel to remote locations for broadcast support.
- Capability to handle equipment weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance.
