Job DescriptionAs a Data Engineer at BlueForge Alliance, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing our data infrastructure to support our mission-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, process, and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design solutions that meet business needs.
- Optimize data workflows and performance to ensure timely and efficient data delivery for analytics and reporting purposes.
- Implement data quality and validation procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and apply them to improve our data infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of post-degree experience, or comparable combined education and experience, in data engineering or a related role, preferably in a non-profit or government contracting environment.
- Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and database optimization techniques.
- Experience with data processing programming languages such as Python, Java, or other similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with SQL and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Palantir, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficient with software development tools such as Postman, Visual Studio.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI.
