Position Overview

Kureha PGA LLC is seeking a dedicated professional for the role of Manufacturing Process Engineer. This position is integral to our operations, focusing on the production of a unique raw material for biodegradable plastics, which is a pioneering endeavor in the industry.

Location: Our facility is situated in a vibrant area, offering a balance of urban amenities and outdoor activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance production operations, ensuring efficiency and safety.
  • Utilize chemical engineering expertise to support plant operations.
  • Act as the technical authority on Kureha PGA processes.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of plant and process systems.
  • Assist production teams in achieving operational targets related to output, cost, and product quality.

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct trials and implement process enhancements.
  • Supervise control systems and equipment management.
  • Continuously seek improvements in safety, productivity, quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering along with a minimum of four years of relevant experience in chemical engineering, specifically in process operations. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and Process Safety Management (PSM) is essential. Experience in chemical or polymer manufacturing environments is required.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with core unit operations such as reaction, distillation, filtration, polymerization, crystallization, and separation is advantageous. Familiarity with typical chemical processing equipment, including reactors, heat exchangers, tanks, separators, crystallizers, centrifuges, and pumps, is also preferred.
