Afterschool Spanish Instructor

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Spanish teacher to join our team at Adventures in Spanish. As a play-based Spanish instructor, you will be responsible for creating engaging and interactive learning experiences for children in Portland.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement play-based Spanish lessons for children aged [insert age range]
• Lead a lively class of up to 12 children in a fun and interactive learning environment
• Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Communicate effectively with parents and school administrators
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance teaching skills

Requirements:

• Fluent or near-fluent Spanish language skills
• Ability to work independently with groups of young children
• Reliable, trustworthy, and organized
• Able to travel from one school to another
• Must pass a background check
• Must respond to texts and emails in a timely manner

Compensation:

• Training pay: $16.00/hr
• Teaching pay: $26.00/hr
• Bonus pay: Eligible for bonus pay if performance is excellent at the end of each trimester
