Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical duties associated with the scrub role, demonstrating smooth, precise, and efficient responses to various situations.
  • Assist with departmental tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency of the operating room.
  • Engage in educational activities for staff, patients, and families, sharing knowledge consistent with personal expertise.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the unit, striving for excellence in patient care.
  • Understand and adhere to the legal boundaries related to the surgical technologist role, ensuring compliance in all actions.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a high school diploma and meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Completion of a nationally accredited surgical technologist educational program, holding and maintaining a certified surgical technologist credential.
  • Completion of a relevant training program for surgical technology within the military branches.
  • Evidence of employment as a surgical technologist in a healthcare setting for a minimum of one year within the past four years.
  • Current service in the federal government performing related duties.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $39.01 per hour
Pay Grade: 27
Compensation may vary based on overall experience, qualifications, shift, and location.
